I have a confession: I’m a little bit obsessed with finding out how celebrities look after their skin.
Booking an appointment with legendary Australian facialist Melanie Grant (who counts Jess Gomes, Lara Worthington and most recently Victoria Beckham on her illustrious list of clients) has always been high on my “treat yourself” list, while wanting to achieve Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Oscars glow, I’ve been saving for Dr Barbara Sturm’s pricey-but-by-all-accounts-worth-it hyaluronic serum for a while.
So naturally I was fascinated when I heard Nichola Joss, Meghan Markle’s facialist who also looks after Priyanka Chopra and Margot Robbie, had spilt the beans on her favourite face mask. The kicker? You probably have all these ingredients in your kitchen cupboard, ready to go.
Speaking with Refinery 29, Joss detailed an at-home recipe she swears by.
One of the key ingredients is coconut oil because “it mixes well with other ingredients to create a soothing, paste-like consistency,” as well as oats, honey, egg whites and turmeric, which can help soothe inflammation.

“At-home face masks are amazing and I fully endorse them,” Joss told Refinery29.
“They’re easy, free and you have full control of the ingredients you’re putting on your skin — which is why most of my clients love them.”
Can’t argue with that. Pass the coconut oil.
